How do I know if my knee pain is serious?
Our knees are one of the most important load-bearing joints in the body, but they are subject to stress through our everyday actions and exercise. Hence knee pain should never be taken lightly
One should seek medical attention when you are experiencing any of the following:
- Pain or swelling that lasts more than 48 hours
- Loss of range-of-motion
- Instability or feeling that your knee “gives out”
- Inability to put full weight on your knee
- Any obvious deformity in your knee
- Experiencing a fever, in addition to redness, pain and swelling in your knee
