Dr. Ganesh Rajeshwar is an Orthopedic surgeon specializing in Joint Replacement, Sports Injuries, Arthroscopic Procedures, Trauma, and Spine Injuries.He is skilled in advanced treatment of Ligament and Cartilage surgeries for knee, hip, and shoulder joints through Arthroscopy.
Arthroscopy is a type of keyhole surgery used to diagnose and treat problems related to joints instead of a big incision on the skin.
Dr. Ganesh Rajeshwar believes arthroscopic surgery is more beneficial than open surgeries; it has a faster healing time, lower risk of infection, less pain after surgery, and fewer scar marks than open surgery.
He has performed over 5000 surgeries for joint replacement, sports injuries, complex fractures, and spine. His enthusiasm for surgery emerged while working as a stand-in surgeon during his MBBS graduation days. That was when his desire to become a surgeon was ultimately solidified. Shortly after beginning his career, he developed a passion for treating bone and joint-related disorders. Over the years, he has become the most experienced and proficient surgeon treating bone & joint disorders and sports injuries in Mumbai.
According to Dr. Ganesh Rajeshwar, the course of treatment for a patient can’t be determined only by the x-rays or MRI images. And therefore, while discussing the treatment options with his patients, he always considers their specific lifestyle factors and wishes. Further, he uses his extensive treatment experience to provide them with suggestions that ensure their faster and better recovery during the post-surgical period.

Qualifications
- Dr. Ganesh completed his M.B.B.S. in 2003 from the prestigious R.C.S.M.Govt. Medical College, KOLHAPUR, recognized by the Medical Council of India.
- After his course completion in 2008, he took up an Internship in the same organization to learn new skills and explore new technologies for the next two years.
- In 2010, he went on to gain his M.S. in Orthopedics from the reputed Grant Government Medical College & Sir J.J.Group of Hospitals, Mumbai.
Fellowships
- Dr. Ganesh has completed his fellowship training in Joint Replacement and Sports Injury from France and fellowship training in Complicated Trauma from South Korea.
- He also holds a fellowship in Knee Arthroplasty & Arthroscopy surgery gained under the guidance of Prof. Philippe Neyret at Lyon institute of Knee LYON, France.
- He has an additional AO Foundation Fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma gained with the guidance of Prof. Jong Keon Oh at Korea University, Guro Hospital Seoul, South Korea.
- Fellowship in Complicated Trauma and Athroplasty under Dr D.D. Tanna in Mumbai

Besides providing excellence in clinical orthopedic management, Dr. Ganesh also works as an Associate Professor and Head of a Unit at the HBT Medical College And Dr. R N Cooper Municipal General hospital to pass his knowledge on to the next generation of surgeons.

His Athletic Endeavours
Played State level TABLE TENNIS & BADMINTON In college days under 19 age group.
Played State level Cricket under 19 age group and was awarded as Man of the series for all-round performance.
Was captain of the volleyball team & won Intercollege competition thrice in MBBS days.
Won SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR award In 2005, 2006 & 2007 for consecutive 3 yrs. in Intra college events.
Participated in the National Badminton event at Nashik 2016.
Presently playing Cricket for IMA (Indian Medical Association) , Mumbai team.
Won HPL ( Hetreo Premiere League ) received Man of the Match & Man of the Series award from Indian batsman Wasim Zaffer In 2017.
